Fictional phantasms; A selection drawn from mythology and folklore. This variety of work brought Brewer's visionary pieces to the public's attention in 2005 when her taxidermy sculpture titled "Goth Griffin" was featured on the front page of the New York Times art section in conjunction with the world's first Rogue Taxidermy art exhibition, an event orchestrated by Brewer and her colleagues. The exhibition and subsequent article became the catalyst for what has become known as the Rogue  Taxidermy art movement and marked the beginning of the taxidermy renaissance currently occurring in America.
